Partial Supply House x Bodega - Snack Pack Collection "Ham & Jam"

Partial Supply House has teamed up with the Bodega to create a limited lineup of streetwear to highlight some of the Bodega's amazing sandwich creations. The "Snack Pack" will have a few different releases throughout 2022. We sat down with Joel DiGiorgio, founder of Partial Supply House and spoke about the upcoming collaboration.

"I've been friends with the guys over at Bodega for years, and I love the overall vibe of place. When Nick (Benshoff) came on board to put together sandwich recipes, I knew they would be something special. He doesn't (explicit) around," said DiGiorgio.

"Daniel (Leonard) was one of the first people I knew in Greensboro with a clothing line and he always put out dope (explicit), so it just kind of made sense to collaborate and bring the brands together. I've done some hats for the shop with my embroidery business and always kind of had the goal of collaborating with local businesses once I launched my brand. I figured the Bodega was the best place to start."

Although hesitant at first, the guys at Bodega eventually came around to the idea after seeing some of the designs and ideas that DiGiorgio showed them. "Not only are the flavors on the subs unique, but they got creative with the names as well. It just kind of fit who they are, you know? Naming an Italian-style sub 'Gucci Belt' for example. We're definitely dropping something special for that."

The first sandwich in the collaboration is one of the fan favorites, the "Ham & Jam." The Ham & Jam features Ham, Hot Capicola, Chorizo, Strawberry Jam Brie, Pepper Relish and Arugula. The combination creates a sweet and filling sandwich with a little heat on the back end.

"I thought the Ham & Jam would be a good place to start. I got in touch with a good friend and graphic designer, Bryan Hunsinger, and ran my ideas by him. He's done a lot of logo work for me in the past and he's responsible for a lot of designs around Greensboro behind the scenes. He's very humble, I'm not even sure he'd want me to mention him but I think he's beyond deserving of praise," DiGiorgio said. "I was thinking we'd need both a graphic or mascot to represent each sandwich and also a logo for the sandwich name. I told him I envisioned a pig with a mohawk climbing out of a jar of strawberry jam. And then to bring back the 90's vibe I wanted to use the NBA Jam logo, 'cause it just made sense to me. Bryan came through like he always does."

"Once I showed Bryan's designs to Daniel and Nick, things started to pick up a bit. I know they're both busy running multiple businesses and they liked the idea of it but it wasn't necessarily a priority for them. I knew it was going to be something I'd have to take on but I wanted to make sure they had plenty of input and were happy with the mock-ups," said DiGiorgio. I was thinking a black hat, with a pink under visor and my trademarked Partial "P" with the Ham & Jam logo on one side and the Bodega logo on the other. Daniel made the suggestion to make the hat red to represent the strawberry jam and I think that's really what made this hat what it is. He definitely put the cherry (or in this case, the strawberry) on top."

DiGiorgio says the mockup got him excited because he knew how it would turn out. He told us that once Daniel (Leonard) saw the hat in person he really got on board. "As soon as he got it on his head, ideas started flowing for the next sandwich. To me, this is what it's all about. Coming together and creating unique pieces for people that appreciate fashion, art and culture. I'm looking forward to the rest of this of this collection and I know this is just the beginning."

Look for the Partial x Bodega "Snack Pack" collection to be available at the Bodega and on PartialSupplyHouse.com. Keep in mind that like all of Partial's creations these items will be limited. "We made 100 hats, we'll probably offer 50-60 for sale and reserve the rest for friends, family and giveaways," DiGiorgio said. "Keep an eye out. Following our instagram is the best way to get information on drops and giveaways for sure."
